Lara is a freelance fashion and textile designer, pattern maker, costume fabricator, seamstress and teacher. She also builds alternative controllers using soft circuitry and e-textile design and periodically works with Final Frontier Designs redesigning and fabricating pressurized garments (spacesuits) and spacesuit gloves.

She got her BFA in Fashion and Textile Design in San Francisco at the Academy of Art University and has an MPS from NYU in Interactive Telecommunications with a focus in Wearable Technology.

Currently Lara is bi-coastal, working in New York and San Francisco, focusing on costume fabrication, fashion with embedded electronics and pattern making.
